  47. $  with the GUS.  I have no other Game Cards or Game Ports in the system but

  49. $  from Papyrus.  The angle type of calibration works.  Any help will be

  57. I have one, too.  For games that have this problem, I pre-calibrate it
  58. using Gravutil, then start the game and go through its calibration (if
  59. any).  Star Control ][ has a problem with the joystick being too far
  60. off-center, and won't work unless I pre-center it with Gravutil.

  62. I find that 'ultrajoy 32' also helps, even though Gravutil says use
  63. something like 0.3.

  65. Speaking of this, I also have a Gravis Analog Pro.  This is a dog of a
  66. joystick.  I was really disappointed.  The construction is flimsy, and the
  67. top button sticks in its recess.  In fact, it's stuck there now and I
  68. cannot get it out without breaking the handle!

  81. I think i may have seen something about this earlier, but I don't have
  82. time to pay attention to talk about programs i don't even have, and as I
  83. didn't have CoolEdit at the time...

  85. Ok.  CoolEdit is really nice.  BUT it doesn't record stereo right.  I
  86. know it's not my windows settings or my gus settings, as i've recorded
  87. it just fine out of windows, and even with that SoundRecorder.  It
  88. sounds all choppy, as though it's screwing up the interleaving of the
  89. stereo data or something.  Any suggestions?  Just wait for the next
  90. version?

  152. I use Gravis Ultrasound as my joystick port. There is something wrong ,
  153. because gravutil says my joytick's button #2 is down even if I don't have 
  154. joystick connected. When I have joystick plugged in , button #2 is always 
  155. down. My computer is IBM PS/2 model 35 SX and I have Ultrasound
  156. at 220,1,1,11,7 (default) . And I don't have any other cards than modem and
  157. guys. Please help me with this problem quickly !

  165. Ah, yes. It was only a matter of time until we found out what it was. It
  166. seems to be patch 122 (seashore) that makes those rotten XWING engine
  167. noises. I don't know why the seashore patch sounds so different at 8 bit
  168. than at 16 (what more is it than a bunch of looped fuzz? ;) ). Sure
  169. enough, I went into the cakewalk demo for dos while using megaem, I loaded
  170. up the JARRE4.MID...Yuko....I still haven't been able to find a good
  171. replacement for the engine noise. Maybe the applause patch that the welder
  172. uses...Ah, well. Have fun....
